Therapeutic Toolkit For Stress And Anxiety
Here is a toolkit that you can use for stress and anxiety. A therapeutic distraction or changing your focus is the answer to reducing stress and anxiety. Remember the universal law, energy flows where the focus goes.. You can experiment and see what works for you or you can do a combination as a meditation or a ritual. Whatever works for you.
Therapeutic Activities
Go fishing, tramping, kayaking, bird watching, paddle boarding anything that distracts you and has a therapeutic effect. Gazing into the ocean as you are fishing is therapeutic. Paddle boarding is therapeutic as you receive the healing energy as you move through the water
Do something nice for someone else
Do a good turn for someone less fortunate than yourself, This gets you out of your head and into your heart. Feel the heart love that is being sent to that person. You could phone someone up and lend a helping hand. It’s amazing how lending a helping hand changes the focus immediately and you will find that your frequency rises and your own worries become less significant.
Connect with Nature
Spending time outdoors, being among trees, water, fresh air — nature has a powerful way of reminding us we’re part of something bigger and slowing us down to feel at peace. You are also receiving healing from the trees and elementals!
Ground with Nature
Stand or sit barefoot on natural ground — earth, grass, sand, water.
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and visualize roots growing from your feet into the Earth, sand or water. Allow everything that is not yours to drain down into the earth through your feet.
Get out of your head and into your heart
Whenever there is a really stressful situation immediately get out of your head and into your heart. Place your left hand over your heart Imagine yourself looking into your heart. Breathe into your heart and imagine it expanding. Imagine bringing the stressful energy/thoughts from your head right down into your heart. Ask for a solution. Then your intuition will kick in. Trust, trust and trust what messages or feelings that you receive
Breath work
Centre yourself in your heart and focus on your breath and away you go.
Deep belly breaths, box breathing (inhale‑hold‑exhale‑hold), or slowly inhale for 4 sec, exhale for 7 or 8 seconds. Breathing in this way all helps to calm the nervous system and regain balance and perspective.
Letting Go and Compassion
Have a regular time for letting go of what no longer serves you such as unforgiveness, beliefs, patterns, grudges. Confess to yourself or to someone else all your wrong doings in your life and ask for them to be transmuted. They are no longer needed. Doing this is very powerful. Also, practice self‑compassion: acknowledging your limits and being kind to yourself when things are hard. Sometimes we are too hard on ourselves,
Anchoring using the powerful I am presence
I am who I am is a very powerful affirmation. Say that a number of times out loud and you will feel a connection with the divine. This will change the focus and you will feel peace. Or you can say –
I am rooted in the Divine and grounded in this moment.
I am here, I am whole, I am one with the Earth and Sky.”
Love and Blessings
